I am extremely tired tonight. I can't think at all. I want to lay on my couch and get lost in the T.V. I have no energy to write and any thoughts I did have worth putting down are lost.

Can't Get Organized

Today was an interesting day. I have 3 product lines to launch by September 1st and I do not have the resources I need to execute the product lines in their targeted demographics. Our company TDLC is a start up. Our first 3 product lines are www.TrafficSchoolOnline.com, www.DriversEdOnline.com and www.NotaryClassOnline.com. Traffic School Online (TSO) was our first company that we started 8 years ago and now we are preparing to offer other distance learning courses. I have never managed product lines or quotas and now I am responsible for profit/loss for 3 product lines and in addition to the product lines I am also the Director of Sales and Marketing.

So I have outlined the sales and marketing strategies for Drivers Ed Online.com. Tomorrow I must have the Notary Class Online.com sales and marketing strategies outlined so I can task out responsibilities. Then on Friday of last week I am given the TSO product line. I am looking at the plan tonight to begin outlining my strageties on capturing market share in specified territories.

I am a bit frustrated because I know in my mind what needs to be done to sell these products but I do not have the resources. I must borrow the talents of staff in other departments to help sell the new product lines. Unfortunately there is a learning curve that each of the staff faces and since I am responsible for profit/loss for each product line I naturally want the most qualified people to perform the roles and execute tasks to sell the products.

Since TDLC is a start up company I do not have the luxury of unlimited resources and so I must not only make the sales myself, and develop the marketing, but I must motivate those who do not have the experience and I must push them harder than they have ever been pushed so I meet the product line quotas that I am responsible for.

Each day I wake up and think of new ways to motivate my staff and market our products. I am up for the challenge I face but at times it is helpful to jot down my thoughts so that I do not forget just what sort of challenge I face. Tomorrow is another day but tonight I will dedicate the late hours of my evening to a bottle of wine and strategies for www.NotaryClassOnline.com and www.TrafficSchoolOnline.com.

Tomorrow is hump day! Half way through the week and that much closer to my due dates!

My first blog

I have never sent a blog before. Today is my first time. I am not sure what I am doing. I tried researching blogging online because I have read so much about it in business magazines that I thought it might help the business I work for. I also thought it is a great way to meet people online to share ideas with and maybe make a few friends along the way.

So I work for TrafficSchoolOnline.com. This is a fun place to work for and we are always busy because so many people get traffic tickets. It is actually scary that so many people get tickets. In California alone millions of drivers get tickets. It is mind blowing.

Anyhow I was recently promoted and I am expected to double our revenues each month for the rest of the year. I have no idea how to do this to be honest. I mean I have ideas but I am not sure I can implement them fast enough. So I wonder how I can get this done. If there are a million drivers who are ticketed in Los Angeles alone, surely I can get at least twenty or so thousand to take our traffic school online course in the next few months.

So I am faced with a great challenge and no idea how to make it happen. Don't you hate when you are expected to do something and you do not know if you can do it? This is particularly hard for me because I have always been a perfectionist. I have rarely failed in my roles at Traffic School Online.com and now at the job I love I am faced with a big challenge. What would you do if you were me is what I would like to know?
